The Golf cart project. . . . . .

                                                                              Here is our cart, purchased on eBay,

                        one 80 year old lady owner, fresh from a West Palm Beach retirement community,

                                                                                                      sweet....

                               The cart ready for its extreme makeover......

                                                                         This is the front end before it was stripped and cleaned...the old 18" inch tires had to go.

                      I fabricated a new bracket to lower the leaf spring 5" inches.

                              (5" inches lower raises the cart 5" inches )                                Everything bolted up ready for the wheels...

The new custom made 5" inch lift front end.

The chassis was polished and everything cleaned and painted, new 22.5" inch turf tamer tires made the lift even higher...

I tested the setup on my neighbors lawn at 1.00 am and she handles like a dream. further midnight testing will be required when the rear end is ready.

                                     I have been busy with the conversion, here are some new pictures of the nearly finished cart..

                                         The new roof struts are in the process of being made from 1"box section steel, I want it to look rugged....

                                                 There is diamond plate aluminum trim all round its not fitted to the sides yet..

                         I formed a new dashboard using a number plate and trim, the seats were easy we covered them in truck seat cover material.

                            Here is a before and after photo, its not finished yet but should be done by our next race at Gatorback next week.

Nearly there.. the roof is on.       

The "Honda 13hp engine conversion"

finished.......not!     

Here is a picture of the latest version of the cart, it has a 13hp Honda engine conversion and is 200lbs lighter, and we fitted some new 12" wheels. She rips.....
